Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition means "placing things side-by-side". The artist usually has an intention of bringing out a specific quality or creating an effect, especially when the person picks two completely contrasting objects and make comparison. How does it work? okay, Let's see mine :) (those works are actually the exercises that we did in the class)

I was given 10 number (left column) and 10 number (right column), it was arranged by lecturer, so form this, I have to choose any number from those column and pair it.

So I choose 04, 08, 94 (its actually my birth date hehe) and then I have to combine it, to make it in one word. And then I got Fly-Mountain, Fly-Wood and Leave-Mountain.

So here's the result of Fly-Mountain. And have to make a sentence about it to, so I wrote "I was born to fly. Whenever I need some space to hangout, I'll fly to a mountain." haha that was quite bad I know. And the picture at the bottom shows that "flymountain" in one word, so I have to draw flymountain...and it became like that haha.

And this is from a word of Fly-Wood. And I made the sentence like, "The puppies fly whenever I throw them a wood." And there goes my "flywood", *pheww* I wonder how would it be if a wood is flying with it own feathers..literally, oh it could be dangerous though.

And lastly, Leave-Mountain. Actually, there's two meaning in a same word, so I choose leave (plant) instead of the other meaning. So there you go a "leavemountain", and I forgot to draw Leave-Mountain because it seems so...I don't know, so I managed to draw "leavemountain" first hehe.

How mergers go wrong???

So I combined these two animals which is a Giraffe and Butterfly. So this is how it looks like. It's beautiful thought but it seems too dangerous, you know how big Giraffe is right? And if it got a wings to fly, especially when it got Butterfly's wings (which is wide), probably it could be disturbed to people.

So not all things can be combined, if it is wrong, probably it could be danger to people or it own companies.
